Most of the best personal finance books and blogs have been written with a U.S audience in mind. So most of the tools don’t really work us Aussies. So I decided to round up some of the best personal finance resources for Australians:
Spaceship Learn: Spaceship is an investing app and they happen to publish a really handy blog. My favourite part are the interviews they do with regular Australians. It’s fun to see how you compare to others.
StudentSavings: A blog mainly targeted at younger Australians. A heavy focus on micro-investing. If you’re brand new to personal finance and looking to start investing there are some good resources here.
AusFinance Subreddit: This Subreddit is a great place to go if you have any questions about personal finance or FIRE. Reddit is usually a pretty decent place to get unbiased reviews on different products. It’s the largest subreddit related to Finance in Australia
TradingBlog: This blog is more focused on advice for trading stocks. So if you’re just looking to invest into a ETF, this probably isn’t the best resource.
Raiz Blog: Raiz is another Micro-investing app like Spaceship. And they also publish a blog with personal finance tips. It’s a good place to stay up to date with happenings in the world of finance.
